Visual artist Tamara Kostochko presents her first solo exhibition “EMOTIONS”

The opening of “Emotions,” the debut solo exhibition by emerging visual artist Tamara Kostochko, took place at the Creative Diaspora art center in Moscow on 17 June 2021.
Running from 18 June to 29 July 2021, the exhibition features paintings created over a three-year period, a time of deep inner exploration and confrontation with long-buried emotions the artist had never known existed.

Tamara’s work is an attempt to capture raw emotional moments — those fleeting yet powerful feelings that emerge in the space between our outward masks and our true selves. A slight tension, a turn of the head, a gaze turned inward. The trembling of the body — an emotion caught for just a second before it disappears.

Through the paintings, visitors are invited to follow the artist’s personal journey: to witness how she explored, revealed, and ultimately accepted her emotions in the process of resolving an internal conflict.

A dance performance by emerging actors was featured as part of the opening night. The piece was accompanied by live cello improvisation and an interactive video projection. The rhythm and spirit of the performance deeply echoed the emotional flow and movement within the paintings.
